WORLD WATER DAY COASTAL CLEANUP
SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 2019
10a.m. to 1p.m.
In honor of World Water Day, you are invited to a day of stewardship and fun on the Sonoma Coast. Help clean up debris and garbage deposited on our beaches by this year’s historic Russian River floods.
Cleanup supplies will be provided. Check the weather and dress accordingly. Layered clothing is recommended for changeable conditions. Help reduce plastic waste by bringing your own refillable water bottle.
Organized in cooperation between Clean River Alliance, Russian Riverkeeper, B-Rad Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, and Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods.
Two locations to choose from:
Goat Rock State Beach, Jenner
Enter at Goat Rock State Beach, turn left at the bottom of the hill and park at the base of Goat Rock. Volunteers at this location can stay at Goat Rock Beach, or head to Driftwood Beach north of Jenner.
Salmon Creek State Beach
Enter at the Bodega Dunes Campground entrance of Sonoma Coast State Beach. Drive all the way to the end of the road and park in the parking lot at the top of the boardwalk. State Park entry fees will be waived for cleanup volunteers.
