Sonoma County Regional Parks Volunteer Opportunities
More than 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and expertise to Sonoma County Regional Parks each year. Volunteers build trails, maintain campgrounds, staff special events, mend fences, lead hikes, clear brush, and help with much more.
Volunteer with Russian Riverkeeper
From picking up trash to removing invasive species, volunteers are essential to our success. Russian Riverkeeper coordinates community volunteers, schools, and businesses throughout the year to help protect the watershed. Volunteering with Russian Riverkeeper will connect you with a community of people who care deeply about the environment of Sonoma County.

36th Annual Watershed Cleanup Day
Join us September 17th 2022 for our annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup Day. It’s a fun opportunity to gather together with friends and family to show the river some love.
Help us remove the trash and plastic pollution that has been accumulating over the last year. Let’s see if we can do better than in 2019, when over 450 volunteers cleaned up 31,899 lbs of trash in a single day!
Plant Milkweed for Monarchs!
PLANT MILKWEED FOR MONARCHS: we need people to help us in the Fall of 2022 with planting milkweed and nectar plants at Sonoma County community gardens to support Monarch butterflies! Contact admin@conservationworksnc.org and include Monarch Butterfly Habitat in your subject line.
