With spring comes an increase in noticeable bird activity as many birds begin to sing and pair up for their breeding cycle. We’ll slowly meander along the mostly flat trail, winding through open oak savannah, grasslands, riparian woodlands, and marshes.
This is an inclusive birding program led on our Native Garden's paths and open spaces. We want to emphasize that this event is meant to accommodate our community members who have always wanted to go birding but have felt limited due to lack of accessibility! The habitats of the Laguna Watershed are highly variable and dynamic. The Santa Rosa Plain is home to unique ecosystems like vernal pools, seasonal wetlands, and oak savannahs. We steward these habitats for their unique needs with the help of volunteers like you!
