The habitats of the Laguna Watershed are highly variable and dynamic. The Santa Rosa Plain is home to unique ecosystems like vernal pools, seasonal wetlands, and oak savannahs. We steward these habitats for their unique needs with the help of volunteers like you!

Spend a day working with your hands in the peaceful setting at the Laguna Environmental Center. Each student will make a lightweight basket of tule reed, using several different weaves. The basket will be suitable for storing nuts, onions, socks, or anything else you need to tidy up

The season of broom stewardship is here! Come on out for a day of forest stewardship centered on getting rid of invasive French broom, delicious snacks, and community! Available volunteer dates are March 8th, 15th, 22nd, with the closing day on the 23rd featuring an art event!

Join Mendocino County Resource Conservation District for a Community Meeting at the Anderson Valley Grange on Saturday March 23, 2024. This meeting will focus on climate-beneficial practices in forests, vineyards, orchards, rangeland, and streams. Everyone is welcome!

SANTA ROSA, CA – The County of Sonoma launched a regional initiative today to unite government agencies, nonprofits, tribal partners and businesses around a set of common goals to protect the health of the Russian River and its surrounding watershed.

Join us September 17th 2022 for our annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup Day. It’s a fun opportunity to gather together with friends and family to show the river some love.

Help us remove the trash and plastic pollution that has been accumulating over the last year. Let’s see if we can do better than in 2019, when over 450 volunteers cleaned up 31,899 lbs of trash in a single day!

We can use volunteers throughout our programs and at locations across Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake counties as well as in our Sonoma County office in Sebastopol. Every volunteer helps us deliver on our mission and is a valued member of our Team!
