Make Twined Baskets with Rush and Tule
Spend a day working with your hands in the peaceful setting at the Laguna Environmental Center. Each student will make a lightweight basket of tule reed, using several different weaves. The basket will be suitable for storing nuts, onions, socks, or anything else you need to tidy up

Sonoma County launches regional initiative to protect Russian River watershed
SANTA ROSA, CA – The County of Sonoma launched a regional initiative today to unite government agencies, nonprofits, tribal partners and businesses around a set of common goals to protect the health of the Russian River and its surrounding watershed.
Annual Watershed Cleanup Day
Join us September 17th 2022 for our annual Russian River Watershed Cleanup Day. It’s a fun opportunity to gather together with friends and family to show the river some love.
Help us remove the trash and plastic pollution that has been accumulating over the last year. Let’s see if we can do better than in 2019, when over 450 volunteers cleaned up 31,899 lbs of trash in a single day!
